ABOUT US
OUR VISION
Revival • Awakening • Reformation

When our spirit comes into contact with the Spirit of God, there's something inside of us that says, "I was born for this." If we look around at the state of the world wide church, we have to come to the conclusion that there is something missing. There is a sense that things are not as they should be. While First Love Movement doesn't pretend to be perfect, we DO have a dream in our hearts. A dream that points the Church back to Jesus and births a move of God like the world has never seen.

Revival: To revive means to restore life, consciousness, and strength. We believe that the Lord longs to send forth the winds of revival and breathe life into His people. We believe that God longs to passionately move, we believe in signs and wonders, we believe in miracles, we believe in the presence of God! We are revivalists.

Awakening: To awaken means to wake from sleep and become aware. We believe that God is making people aware of their dire need for Him in an unprecedented way. Those who know His love and those who are yet to know it are hungering and longing for something deeper. Programs, social gatherings, and events aren't cutting it anymore. People everywhere are awakening to the presence of the Most High God. We are awakeners.

Reformation: To reform means to make change, to improve, and to amend what is wrong. On October 31st 1517, Martin Luther nailed the 95 Theses to the Wittenberg Chapel and changed the course of history. The Church had forgotten the simple beauty of the Gospel and had replaced the glorious message of the cross with trying to be a good person. People had remembered religion, but forgotten Jesus. While it is true that many gather in His name, do we actually encounter Him when we gather? Have we remembered the building but forgotten Him? In our many programs and events have we scheduled out the Holy Spirit? Programs, events, and buildings aren't wrong, but we must turn back to Jesus. There must be a systematic and sustained culture change- a reformation. We must make Him the only thing. We must return to our First Love. We are reformers.
OUR MISSION
To Know the LORD
To Win the Lost
To Make Disciples

We have a very simple mission because we believe that simplicity is best.

To Know the LORD: He is our First Love, His presence is paramount, and there is nothing more important than encountering God personally and with others. Many try to please God by working hard so that He will notice them. The simple truth is that God already notices us. He LOVES us and we are the apple of His eye. More than anything, He wants a deep and vibrant relationship with us that is full of love and excitement. To know Him is to fall madly in love with Him, so that's what we do.

To Win the Lost: We believe that every believer has been given the sacred mission to plunder hell and deliver God's lost children back into His loving arms. Whether we know it or not, we are all children of God and we were all made in His beautiful image. We will not stop until every single person on earth has been reunited with their First Love and is walking in their God given destiny.

To Make Disciples: The Lord gave the great commission to make disciples of all the nations. The word disciple means "learner," but it is stronger than how we might first think of it. It means to learn in such a way that the learner becomes the exact image and representation of the person they are learning from. Simply put, discipleship is being transformed into the image of Jesus. A healthy disciple is transformed daily by being a passionate worshipper who is founded on God's Word and has a deep and growing prayer life.

WHAT WE DO
We believe that the Word of God and the presence of God are foundational, that on that foundation strong individuals, leaders, families, and communities are built. We believe that every believer needs to be nurtured, equipped, and discipled. The question then becomes how do you do that effectively? How do you add to the church daily, but ensure that people are truly being discipled? Acts 5:42 shows us the very simple, but very profound, strategy of the early Church. “And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.”

You see, the early Church had one message, one focal point, and that was Jesus. All they wanted was to encounter God in all of His fullness, but it was lived out two different ways.

One was the smaller, more intimate gathering- the house church. That was where people were pastored, nurtured, and discipled. That was where the they learned to encounter God personally and to handle the Word of God for themselves. By this they increased in depth.

They also needed the bigger, more communal gathering- the temple. All the house churches needed to come together and realize they were a part of something bigger. They worshipped together and God added to them. By this they increased in width.

That is our very simple strategy. The intimate and the corporate all in one. We are a gathering that meets house to house throughout the week and then comes together to worship the King. By this we will fulfill the great commission.
